This old barn is kind of a wake up call for me. It’s been too long since my last post. I shot this barn with my iPhone 4s and processed in Dynamic Light. I am sorry to say that I lost my drive to “see” the photo possibilities around me, as I struggled to cope with changes that were occurring in my life. You could say I’ve been on a “pity trip” and I would not argue with you. I’ve come to realize that any problems I’ve been concerned with in my life, pale in comparison with the atrocities others in our country have faced. The victims of hurricane Sandy, many are still displaced from their homes and have suffered greatly, and the tragic shootings that have taken place at the mall in Oregon and the school in Connecticut, have taken the lives of many. As I pray for those who have experienced these tragedies, I realize how blessed I truly am. I have no problems… it’s not about me, it’s about reaching out to others, and offering to help. How can we focus on buying presents and gifts when there are so many suffering in our country. It is this Christmas season that offers Hope for a world gone crazy. Christmas is the celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Please join me in praying for all who are mourning the loss of loved ones, for those who have lost their homes, for those who are sick, for the hungry, and for the prisoners separated from their loved ones.
