Winter

What a beautiful ,sunshiny, day we had today. With temperatures near 40 degrees, Spring was in the air… or at least the hope of Spring. I saw this barren tree on the frozen, snow covered shore of Lake Huron. The blue sky provides a beautiful backdrop for the lacy branches of the tree. It is still winter, but Spring is just around the corner.

Day 232 – Child of the Corn

The University of Michigan’s colors are Maize and Blue, Maize is also another name for corn. Caitlyn wearing her Michigan sweatshirt looks right at home surrounded by the giant corn stalks.

Day 78 Morning Has Broken

This morning was beautiful. As I looked out the window, I could see the crescent moon shining as the dawn was breaking with a beautiful blend of colors. There was a layer of ground fog which added a soft filter to everything low. I like the colors behind the silhouette of the willow trees with their lacey branches. A beautiful sight indeed as we left the house on way to church. Thank you Lord for the beauty of your creation.

Praise him, sun and moon,
praise him, all you shining stars!
Praise him, you highest heavens,
and you waters above the heavens!
Let them praise the name of the Lord!
For he commanded and they were created. Psalm 148:3-5 ESV
