It was a crisp clear sunny morning. The sun providing a back light to the beautiful ice clad branches of the trees against a clear blue sky. It’s Christmas Eve morning. Looks like we will indeed have a white Christmas.
We had a heavy dew this morning in Frankenmuth, Michigan. I took an early Saturday morning stroll to the Frankenmuth Visitor’s Center and captured the day lillies covered with morning dew.
It was such a beautiful morning, I decided to take my coffee out on the deck to enjoy the cool, sunny, morning. As I settled into my chair, I noticed the Barn Swallow perched on the shepherd’s hook by the side of our deck. I quietly went into the house to grab my Nikon, and just as quietly and slowly, returned to capture a photo of the Barn Swallow, no more than 15 feet away. Well 2 shots and he was gone. They move so quickly, it’s tough to get a photo of them in flight. So, camera still in hand, I decided to get a couple more pictures of something less elusive, the Columbine flowers. Enjoy your Memorial Day holiday today. Thanks to all of our men and women, who have served to keep America free.
This morning was beautiful. As I looked out the window, I could see the crescent moon shining as the dawn was breaking with a beautiful blend of colors. There was a layer of ground fog which added a soft filter to everything low. I like the colors behind the silhouette of the willow trees with their lacey branches. A beautiful sight indeed as we left the house on way to church. Thank you Lord for the beauty of your creation.
Praise him, sun and moon,
praise him, all you shining stars!
Praise him, you highest heavens,
and you waters above the heavens!
Let them praise the name of the Lord!
For he commanded and they were created. Psalm 148:3-5 ESV
